The Food Diary - Poha(flattened rice) Cheese Balls
-1 cup grated cheese
-1/2 cup boiled and smashed potato
-1/4 cup corn starch
-1/4 tsp baking powder
-2-3 finely chopped green chillies
-1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
-1 tbsp finely chopped mint leaves(optional)
-1 medium sized onion finely chopped.
-salt ,black pepper and oregano to taste.
-oil for frying.
Method:
1.Combine and mix well all the above mentioned ingredients in a bowl.Cover and set aside the mixture for about 15 mins.
2. Then knead the mixture lightly and divide into equal portions and roll into lime sized balls.
3. Heat oil in a kadhai over medium-low heat and fry the cheese ball until golden brown.
4. Finally remove the balls from the oil,drain extra oil by keeping them on tissue/absorbing paper for a minute.Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup and devour!!
